Upgrade Your Game Day Eats

South Square Market is the go-to spot for all your Eagles game day needs. Be the MVP of football Sundays and help your watch party fuel up with the South Square Market specialty tailgate menu.

1. Stuffed French Bread

Instead of serving your favorite dip in a bowl this year, slice open and hollow out a piece of our fresh french bread before throwing it into the oven like this Buffalo Chicken Dip from The Food Network. By baking the dip inside the bread, you’ll be in for a whole new meaning on the words “crave worthy”!

2. Pigskin in a Blanket

Upgrade your pigs in a blanket with some mustard art like the folks over at Delish. Simply form the dogs into a shape of the ball of your choice before you bake! When it comes out of the oven, you’ll have a pull apart conversation starter the whole crew will love!

3. Tot-chos

Replace the chips in your favorite nacho recipe with some tater tots from our freezer aisle like this dish from Kitchn. The result is an overload of cheesy goodness and a super fun twist on a classic favorite.

Spotlight On: Dinosaur Eggs

You’ve tried plums, and you’ve tried apricots, but have you tried Dinosaur Eggs? While these soft, sweet fruits don’t date back to the Cretaceous Period, their colorful spotted exterior resembles a dinosaur egg itself!

unnamed (2).jpg

The Dinosaur Egg is a type of pluot: a hybrid fruit that’s three parts plum and one part apricot. As a result, the slight bitterness usually present when you take a bite of a plum isn’t there, and instead you’re left with a flavor packed with sweetness.

The Dinosaur Egg’s unique flavor is delicious as a main ingredient in pies, tartes, and crumbles, over ice cream, in a fruit salad or even on its own as a midday snack!
